The Second Conference on the Orthopedic Field Integrating Innovation Ecosystem to Drive High-quality Development, hosted by the National Orthopedics and Sports Rehabilitation Clinical Medicine Research Center, took place on August 31 in Wujin district. The event brought together hundreds of experts from across China for in-depth discussions on cutting-edge technologies, innovative applications, and the future of the orthopedic industry.
Notable attendees included Chinese Academy of Engineering members Tang Peifu and Gu Xiaosong, Canadian Academy of Engineering member Meng Qinghu, and Vice Mayor Pan Dongling.
During the conference, the top ten outstanding innovation projects from the center’s innovation fund were recognized. Additionally, several key reports were unveiled, including the Blue Book on Orthopedic Materials Industry Development. The Translational Medicine Research Advisory Committee for the National Orthopedics and Sports Rehabilitation Clinical Medicine Research Center was also officially established.
A signing ceremony marked the launch of both the Smart Orthopedic Technology Regional Training Base and the Smart Orthopedic Technology Application Demonstration Base. The event featured an academic forum, keynote speeches, and networking opportunities for industry leaders.
In late 2020, the Wujin National High-tech Industrial Development Zone partnered with the National Orthopedics and Sports Rehabilitation Clinical Medicine Research Center to establish the Changzhou Orthopedics and Sports Rehabilitation Industry Innovation Center. This groundbreaking initiative is the first and only regional innovation platform in China developed in collaboration with a national clinical medicine center, and it has made significant progress in promoting innovation, ecosystem development, and project transformation.
