On June 18, a significant milestone was celebrated in the Jintan Economic Development Zone with the groundbreaking ceremony of Isabellenhütte (Changzhou) Electronics Technology Co., Ltd. The event was attended by notable figures, including Pan Zhengming, director of the Jiangsu Provincial Government Office in Baden-Württemberg, Germany; Lu Qiuming, secretary of the CPC Jintan District Committee; Yang Jian, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Jintan District Committee; Holger Spiegel, CEO of Isabellenhütte Heusler GmbH & Co. KG; and Ladislav Varga, managing director of Isabellenhütte in China.
In his address, Yang Jian emphasized Jintan's steadfast commitment to the principle that "projects are paramount." He highlighted the district's dedication to providing partner-like services, ensuring comprehensive support from project initiation to production. Yang assured that relevant departments would make every effort to provide robust support and optimize services, ensuring projects are completed, operational, and effective as quickly as possible.
Holger Spiegel hailed the groundbreaking as a pivotal moment in the company's development. He stated that this initiative marks the beginning of a fruitful partnership with the Jintan government and reflects the group's confidence in the strong growth of the Chinese market. Spiegel also reaffirmed the group’s commitment to innovation and environmental stewardship, aiming to minimize the new factory's environmental footprint while contributing positively to the local economy and community.
Founded in 1482 and headquartered in Dillenburg, Germany, Isabellenhütte Heusler GmbH & Co. KG is a global leader in high-end resistors, thermoelectric materials, and related components. Dominating 80% of the European automotive market, the company's portfolio includes precision measurement technology, precision and power resistors, and precision alloys, with products primarily used in the automotive, power grid, and renewable energy sectors. Currently, all products are imported to China from Germany. However, due to the growing demand in the Chinese market, the group has decided to establish a production base in China.
After extensive evaluation of various locations based on industrial foundations, transportation infrastructure, and educational resources, the group chose Jintan for their investment. This new venture, Isabellenhütte (Changzhou) Electronics Technology Co., Ltd., represents the group’s first production facility in Asia, with an investment of nearly 30 million euros, to be constructed in two phases. Once fully operational, the facility is projected to generate annual sales of 100 million euros. This development will significantly bolster Jintan's new energy industry chain and enhance the district’s global engagement.
As Jintan strives to meet its second-quarter targets and ensure comprehensive progress, efforts will focus on advancing major projects. The district is enhancing its support team, streamlining services with a one-stop assessment and full-process assistance system, ensuring efficient and obstacle-free project approvals. These efforts are aimed at accelerating the completion and operationalization of major projects, thus laying a solid foundation for sustainable, high-quality development.
