In the recently released 2024 Hurun China Top 100 New Materials Companies list, two companies from Changzhou have made significant appearances. Zhongjian Technology Co., Ltd. is ranked 45th with a valuation of 11 billion yuan, while Changzhou Juhe New Materials Co., Ltd. is placed 81st with a valuation of 6.5 billion yuan.
The list categorizes companies into three sectors: advanced materials, strategic materials, and frontier materials. Zhongjian Technology is recognized under the strategic materials category, while Juhe New Materials is listed in the advanced materials category.
Zhongjian Technology is a major contributor to the National High-Tech R&D Program, serving as the lead operator of the Domestic T700-Grade Carbon Fiber Engineering Construction project. The company is engaged in the entire spectrum of high-performance carbon fiber activities, including research and development (R&D), production, deep processing, and sales. It operates two 800-ton precursor production lines, including China’s first domestically-produced high-strength carbon fiber production line with a capacity exceeding 100 tons, as well as a 20-ton graphite fiber production line. Zhongjian Technology owns all intellectual property rights associated with its technology.
Juhe New Materials specializes in the R&D, production, and sales of silver paste for photovoltaic (PV) manufacturers. Recognized as a "little giant"—one of the top performers among specialized, high-end, and innovation-driven SMEs offering distinctive products or services—Juhe has established joint laboratories with the Shanghai Institute of Microsystem and Information Technology and the Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics (SINANO), both of which are part of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. The company also collaborates with SINANO on a joint doctoral training program.
