The 15th Changzhou Municipal Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC) held its 26th Chairperson’s Council meeting on May 17, focusing on the theme "Reviving Time-Honored Brands: Integrating Cultural, Commercial and Tourism Development." Dai Yuan, chairman of the CPPCC Changzhou Municipal Committee, presided over the session and delivered a keynote address. Deputy Mayor Pan Dongling was also present to engage in discussions and gather insights.
Participants emphasized the pivotal role of traditional brands in Changzhou's development and called for intensified efforts and innovative strategies to safeguard, perpetuate, and rejuvenate these brands in the contemporary landscape.
Delegates advocated for a thorough exploration of the transmission of esteemed traditional culture and the progressive evolution of time-honored brands. Furthermore, they championed proactive engagement in providing recommendations to propel integrated development of culture, commerce, and tourism.
The meeting saw the attendance of vice chairpersons of the CPPCC Changzhou Committee—Zhang Chunfu, Wu Xinfa, Zhao Zhengbin, Shi Zhengda, Zhang Jialin, Tang Huaxin—and Secretary-General Zhou Xiaohua, signifying a concerted effort towards constructive dialogue and strategic planning for Changzhou's multifaceted growth.
