This year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and France. On May 28, Accor S.A. signed an agreement to bring its Sofitel and Novotel hotel brands to Changzhou High-Speed Rail New Town.
Founded in 1967 in France, Accor is Europe's largest hotel group, operating over 5,600 hotels worldwide. In this new venture, Accor will implement its dual-brand model. The luxury brand Sofitel will be located in the Starry City complex, while the mid-to-high-end brand Novotel will be situated in the International Talent Plaza, offering a convenient and comfortable accommodation experience for business professionals and high-end talent.
Starry City, located in the heart of High-Speed Rail New Town, boasts a total construction area of approximately 554,000 square meters. It is set to become a headquarters cluster, featuring the Sofitel Hotel, Xincheng Wuyue Plaza, and top-class office buildings. Adjacent to Starry City, the International Talent Plaza spans approximately 93,000 square meters and will include the Novotel Hotel and apartments, an international innovation center, and an international street.
